The Seminarian Convocation is a yearly event for current diocesan seminarians to gather and reflect as a community on discernment, faith, and their call to the priesthood.

(Date To Be Determined) Ausculta ("Listen") dinners are opportunities to join Bishop Ronald W. Gainer and discuss how we can better hear and respond to the Lord's call. The Spring Ausculta dinner will be a Spanish-language event.

Discerners are invited to join Bishop Gainer, along with the seminarians and many priests from our diocese, for an evening of food, fellowship and faith.

Bishop Gainer hosts the current diocesan seminarians for an annual dinner. It provides a chance for him to get to know our seminarians on a personal level and show his support for their work in preparation of the priestly vocation.

Fr. Brett Brannen, author of To Save A Thousand Souls, will give a presentation and be available for a meet and greet at Benedictus book store in Lexington.

Each year, the Office of Vocations sponsors the "Mary, Mother of Vocations", Diocesan Conference. This conference gathers those in the Diocese who support vocations. This conference is open to all, however it is designed for those who want to help promote vocations to the Priesthood and Religious Life. We encourage priests, deacons, religious women and men, along with the laity to attend. A highlight of the conference is the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass celebrated by Bishop Gainer.

The Serra Club hosts an annual celebration honoring the seminarians before they return to their assignments and studies for the academic year.

The Bishop’s Chosen Dinner is an annual event held during Christmas break. Men who are seriously discerning their call to the priesthood for the Diocese of Lexington are invited to the Bishop's residence for an evening of conversation and dinner with the Bishop. In addition to remarks made by Bishop Gainer, diocesan seminarians are invited to share their vocation story and answer questions about seminary life.
