NewsFive Days to Organize My Life - WednesdayAs a football coach I may set as my big "G" goal to win the national championship. To reach my big "G" goal, I will have to set numerous intermediate goals. Knowing that the national championship is years away, I might set a short-term goal of winning six games and getting a bowl bid. To achieve this short-term goal, I will set other goals, such as building a talented coaching staff, map out a dynamic play book, and so on. No big "G" goal is suddenly attained; it is always reached by climbing the intermediate steps. If you were to accept God's big "G" as your own, what intermediate steps would you have to take to inch toward its fulfillment? What do you think the early Christians did as described in Acts 2: 42? The word devote means to give oneself completely to something. To which of the steps you listed above are you already devoted? Circle them. On which are you hit and miss? Check them. √ Which have you never tried? Asterisk them. * Which would have the greatest effect in me in the shortest possible time? Star them. Note: no one reaches God's big "G" goal without God's help all along the way. Ask for it.
